Before you start on your road to riches and working for yourself, it might be worthwhile writing out a few goals. The point is, if you don’t know where you are going; If do not have a clear picture of what it is you want, (or are trying to achieve), then how will you know or recognize it, when, (or if), you get it?

If I just gave you a dart and said quick, throw it. You’d probably ask me where and at what. If you cannot see the dart-board, if you cannot see your target, then how can you ever hope to hit it. So you need a target to hit and a direction to move in.

We are all given a gift, a great power. Sometimes we don’t ever find it or  learn that we have it. Even when we have found out special gift, we, (I myself even), sometimes forget to use it and abuse it.

Listen to Napoleon Hill, he will tell you: Your great power:- is to take possession of your own mind and direct it to whatever goal you will.

What is your goal? Do you have it written down? Do you have a clear and concise business plan to get what you want? What is your definition of success? What will make you happy?

Napoleon Hill says to write out and review your goals daily. Your only limitations are those that you set up in your own mind, or what you let others set up for you. Then you need to write out a plan to show what you intend to give in exchange for the things you desire.

Are you prepared to pay the price?  The first price you have to submit to paying is to write out your goals, find out what your ‘Labor of love’ is going to be. Find out why you want what you want, then write down what you are prepared to do and how you plan to get what you want. Recite it all daily and stay focused on your goal.

End your daily recital, by offering gratitude. This was a problem for me, I could not understand why this had to be. But, then again, I thought I understood how to get what I wanted.

I had a few things to think about where gratitude was concerned. I don’t think it matters, as to whether you understand or not. Napoleon Hill did not say, ‘you have to understand it’, did he? Just believe! But, maybe you are like me and always need proof and a reason.

So, study it for yourself, the answer I arrived at, might not be acceptable for yourself. This is how I see it. Napoleon Hill says to recite this.

Gratitude:- I ask not for divine providence for more riches: (I understand and take this to mean, don’t hold out hope for a lottery win or some magical or mysterious miracle event to happen, that provides you with wealth – it won’t).

He continues:- But, for more wisdom for which to accept and use wisely, the riches I received at birth: in the form of the power to own and direct my own mind to whatever ends I desire. (So, that to me means, I already have everything I need to make my way in the world).

(Also to me this means; ‘Time is the riches, (and therefore is a limited resource), that I must use wisely.  I have the power to make my own decisions that will dictate my future. I could chose to sit and watch daytime TV or play PC games all day; or I could get to work on building and operating my business’. What would be the wisest and most logical choice)?

Once you get to grips with understanding yourself, knowing what you want and how to go about getting it, (and really believing that you can do what you put your mind to), then you have a real chance.

You have to believe in yourself, no-one else will, no-one else can do it for you.  They may believe and know you can do whatever you want in life, but that won’t matter unless YOU believe and understand it!

Line spacing in your posts plays an important readability role.

When paragraph and heading spacing are all equidistant, it is harder for the reader to know what is related to what. Everything blends into one massive swathe of text. This is a bad experience for the read and bad for you as the writer, as people will leave without reading!

Overcooked WP!

Closeness shows that content is related, but this is overdone automatically in WP.

The WordPress editor will automatically strip out your formatting that it decides is redundant.

WordPress Removes:-

• (ENTER) multiple returns.
• (insert a break) “br” tags.
• (paragraph) “p” tags.

Automatically removing ‘returns’, ‘paragraph tags’ and ‘break tags’ is not what most bloggers expect or want to happen.

This feature is a common source of frustration for WordPress users. We want the paragraph formatting to be right.

Putting numerous ‘returns’ wont work, nor will adding HTML code like Br and Paragraph TAGS!

This WordPress feature offers equal spacing between paragraphs and headings which does not look good and does not help to ease the reading experience for the reader.

How to add the code.

Select HTML mode tab, then look for the place you want your space.

Depending on how your HTML scripts look, you may need to experiment by placing the code before or after bits of script code till you get enough experience.

Usually the code will go after a close tag like < / div > and you should use return, to start typing the code on a new line.

If you do experiment with where to place the code, it is wise just to copy the HTML code original into notepad or similar and save it, so that you can copy it back into the WordPress HTML view if you get it wrong!

Use select all  (right click and select all), within the HTML view and copy and paste the code into notepad or similar text editor and save it to your desktop.

Type in < p >< code >< br/ >< /code >< /p > (without the spaces)!

Then use copy and paste to insert the code on each line that you want to add a blank empty line or blank space.

Use it between paragraphs or headings or ordered lists or where-ever. You can even use it two or three times consecutively, to add two, three or more empty lines.

Flush your twitter account of those people you follow, that are not following you back, or those who are no-longer posting tweets.

These people are just taking up valuable space in your Twitter account.

Some people follow you for a little while, then un-follow you, leaving your twitter account unbalanced. Sometimes you will follow people without expecting them to reciprocate, but then they stop posting tweets or change the theme of their posts.

Don’t Forget To Flush!

The major reason why you need to kick those accounts that you are following is because, when they do not follow you back, Twitter sees this as against the reasoning of why Twitter was set-up; – To be sociable!

Twitter likes to see Tweeple getting along! Twitter only sets ‘no-limits’ to an accounts follow and un-follow rules, on special accounts for very popular people like pop stars and celebrities (or even big organizations).

The Wall!

You will hit the Twitter wall, each time your account reaches a certain ratio of followers-to-following limits between zero to 2,000 followers.

After that first 2,000 followers,  limits increase slightly, but unless you are a celebrity, you will need to ‘flush’ some of those accounts you are following, but who are not following you back, before you can add more new people to follow.

Even if people are following you and you have not yet reciprocated and followed back, you still cannot follow them until you have that ratio figure within the Twitter rules.

For whatever reason, you will want to occasionally have a clear-out of non-followers. (You might even want to clear out reciprocating accounts because their tweets have taken a turn for the worse).

This video demo was made in Jan 20011 to update how Twitter Karma looks and works now. Twitter is a victim of its own success. You occasionally see blackouts, where Twitter is over capacity.

The truth of why some Twitter management tools now longer work as they were initially intended, is because there are so many different Twitter management tools and different applications that put demand on access to Twitter accounts, that you cannot expect Twitter to keep up!

Twitter first has to allocate a usage quota to each application that wants access to manage is members accounts. Twitter has to balance this quota with the popularity or demand for the various tools.

Twitter has another concern too, to try and keep Twitter a ‘social-interactive-media. The who point of social medial is for the users to be ‘sociable’ towards one-another.

ONE-WAY-STREET.

Logically, you cannot possibly ‘know’ and ‘interact on a sociable level’ with every one of your so-called “friends”, if you have 250,000+ of them! With certain types of account becoming basically a ONE-WAY-STREET of information. Its not ’2Me – 2U’ conversation!

This ‘anti-social’ point over-grew Twitter, when the marketers took-over Twitter. You know how it goes, some Twitters are interesting and conversational. You start to follow them. Then they get bigger and get more and more followers.

Not 2Me 2U.

The conversation then gets lost in the crowd and you end up with getting promotional link after promotional link rammed down your throat. The worst part is that they go off topic and one minute they are telling you how to gain more twitter followers and the next they are trying to sell you dog food.

Hey, now I follow a lot of Twitter accounts that are of interest to me. But, I like them to stay on topic! I try to stay on topic on my Twitters and blogs, although I do sometimes drift, I’ll admit.

Learning New Business Strategies.

Recently, I have attended a few business training workshops with Business Link Yorkshire,  (a free business advice center in my local region in the UK), because I like to learn new things and try to keep as up-to-date as possible with business building and management techniques.

I often talk with other delegates at these meetings. Many of them are people new to business. I’m always surprised that people don’t realize how easy it really is to make money online! In this day and age, there are many ways to get started for free or very little cost at all.

Have a Business Plan.

If you can spend money on your business development, then you can grow your income faster. As with most things, the more you put in, the more you get out! Having a business plan is important, even on a basic level you could just promise yourself to put any money you make straight back into your business.

You should definitely get professional help with your business plan. There should be a free business center in your location as part of your local governments drive to help businesses, if there isn’t this ‘live’ help you can find plenty of resources online.

You Need to be Online – Its a Must!

I know you are online, because you are here reading this and I only intended it to be available online! If you don’t have easy access to the internet, then that is your first goal to attain. Any business in this day and age needs to be online! Especially if you want financial freedom, otherwise, you are just going to be working yourself into another JOB. (Just Over Broke).

Do you have a J.O.B?

Have you heard that before? J.O.B. (Just Over Broke). For most people, having a job means working for a living, 9 to 5 or 6 till 6 or whatever your work schedule is, only to bring home a pittance of a wage in comparison to the kind of lifestyle you want and desire.

If you have a great wage and a fantastic job that you love and it provides everything your heart desires, then well done! You have your success! (What are you doing here? Why are you reading this)?

If you get paid a weekly wage (very weakly), or get paid monthly and find that there is always too much month left at the end of the money, then you need something else! Not only to give you income, but also to give you hope and a vision for the future! A brighter future, when and where you can see yourself having all the things you desire, holidays, cars, a home and time and money freedom!

Decide to Pay the Price!

All this comes at a price! The price is that you have to step out of your comfort-zone and do something that is alien to you. But, there is a secret! I’m going to tell you it now! You will say;  “Of-course, I knew that already!” If you know it already, then why aren’t you already rich, with everything that your desire?

The Secret!

When you step out of your comfort-zone and start to do things that are alien to you, it won’t be long before these alien, sometimes hard to do things; will become easy for you to do. The more that you do them, the easier they get, until you become fully-proficient at those things and they become second nature to you.

What are these things?

Simple things, like learning not to overspend on non-essentials. Learning a few web basics, so that you can build your own website to sell things and make money from. It really is easy to build a website, you just have to know someone like me, who can point you in the right direction. Once you get the basic idea, you can expand your knowledge to learn other things to make your website work better and get more visitors.

Anything worth doing well?

Anything worth doing well, is worth doing poorly at first! I bet you’re thinking that I have that the wrong-way-round, don’t you? We have been taught to think that things are hard to do and that big business must be complicated, or else why isn’t everyone doing it? These are just myths, made up and kept alive, in the minds of people who like excuses for why they cannot succeed.

The truth is, perfection is an impossible goal. If you wait and strive for perfection in everything you do, then life will just pass you by. I’m not saying don’t try your very best to get things right. the first time. But, to learn when to quit trying to perfect something.

No-matter how hard I try, I could come back to this article I’m writing now and find something I have missed, or a better way of saying what I have said. I could even worry about putting too much in or not enough. So hey, all I do is, write till I think I’ve got my point across and then stop and publish.

I know I always talk too much anyway, but hey, that’s me, if you don’t like it, find someone-else to get free info from. (was I rude just then)? Nope, I just want to be honest with you and try to get as much info to you as possible, in the hope that you will implement it and make some money!

Whilst I’m still getting this site up and running, I’ve started sending traffic. You-see, I’m not waiting for perfection. I’ve got a hundred and one things to do, to get the site like I want it. Yet, I’ve already been making sales from my affiliate products that are already displayed on this site, (see the banners or links to external sites).

I know what works!

These are the types of things I like to show you, because I know they work! How? Well, because I started with these programs myself. I learned what I am doing to make money today with programs from an affiliate network site called ClickBank.

I only choose to promote products that I have tried myself, so if I wouldn’t by it, then I won’t promote it. That’s my first line of defense, but It doesn’t stop there! Next, I buy the product or service and use it! If I still think it is good enough, I will promote it, AND I will also tell people what I think of it, warts ‘n’ all.

I will not work with programs if I find too much that I don’t like about them and if it is something that I wouldn’t recommend, then I say nothing about it. Hey, I’m not here to pee on anyone’s parade.

Just ’cause I don’t like a program for some reason, doesn’t mean that it is no-good. It just means that I don’t like it for whatever reason and I choose to keep that opinion to myself! (I might discuss a program if asked by a close business associate or a student or client).

I currently still take tuition from many online courses to improve my knowledge and income. You need to be a constant learner in this day and age, because things move on so quickly, especially in business online!

Niche Marketing – A niche is just whatever subject you choose. It could be a broad niche like pets or gardening or even DIY. You could become more specialized, so instead of pets, it could be Persian Cats, or Vegetable Gardening find what niche you would like to do, then either create all the content yourself or find other peoples, (vendors), products to sell.

This website is an example in its-self! I choose a niche of marketing and in this case specialize in helping others to get started. Therefore, lots of the programs and courses that I promote here, are to teach people how to build businesses online, or to show then the best services and methods to use.

There’s no mystery as to why I chose this niche, I had my success after trying every lots of useless programs with no business plan or system to follow. I didn’t know what I needed to do, so I couldn’t even ask the right questions. (My usual main failing).

Once you know what questions to ask, you are a third of the way to achieving your goal. Getting the right answers is another thing, and one that only time and your own experience will teach you. I will try to help you on those two first points. But the third is entirely down to you! Implementation! You’ve got to do the work!
